The liver and kidneys are especially vulnerable during an auto accident. Approximately 10% of people who suffer a blow to the torso will suffer a rib fracture. During a car accident, bones are subjected to tremendous pressure and cannot always withstand the force of the impact. If a rib fractured during the accident punctures a lung, air escapes and lodges in the thoracic cavity, causing severe pain and lack of oxygen. The accumulated air pressure in the chest prevents the lungs from expanding, so the organ collapses. Surgery is necessary to restore normal body function.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Internal Bleeding (internal hemorrhaging)<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Blood vessels greatly suffer during a car accident. Excessive force can rupture the vessels, causing internal bleeding that is frequently difficult to diagnose. If the damage is excessive, the body is unable to clot the blood in time to repair the vessels, causing all kinds of failures in our body.<\/p>
